OUR GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

ymhardtobelieve.gif

Do you have a special memory that you’d like to share with the world? No need to worry. We keep things simple at YM. Here’s all you have to do:

We prefer that you include your story (no more than 1500 words) in the body of an E-Mail message addressed to: yesterdaysmagazette@Gmail.com. Feel free to add your biography (100 words, max.) Stories with oldie photos have the best chance of acceptance. No monetary payment at this time, but we give all contributors ample space to promote their talents and to plug their books, websites, or whatever.

You can also snail mail your story and/or photo to: YM, c/o E. P. Burke Publishing, 2532 Clubhouse Cir. #104, Sarasota, FL 34232.

But you must include a SASE (self-addressed-stamped-envelope) for reply or return of photo.

Digital photos or artwork can be copied and pasted easily from your computer into the body of the e-mail sent to us. (Or we can get your photos from any online website.) We prefer .jpg or .gif and no larger than 100 kb.

No attachments, please.

That’s all there is to it. So let us help you preserve your memories for posterity.

Looking forward to your submission,

E. P. Ned BurkeYM editor/founder

  1. I cannot tell you exactly what I did yesterday but I can tell you what happened 70 years ago while growing up during the great depression. I have been writing a book called, “Cooking In Back Of the Store.” Perhaps, it should be called, “Survival.”
I would be happy to submit articles if you are interested. Thanks. Carol

  2. Carol:

Feel free to send an article. Read over our guidelines first, of course.

  3. I like “Cook in the Back of the Store” way better as a title Carol!
What a lovely blog you have Ned too.
