Hello, friends:

This year marks 36 years of “memories” for Yesterday’s Magazette. And, in a business where magazines such as this fall to the wayside at an alarming rate, I guess you can say it is sort of “special” for a nostalgia publication to have lasted so long.

What is the secret of YM’s success?

I believe it is due to the “Holiday Spirit” YM invokes — the sharing of something deeply personal from one human being to another. Needless to say, Yesterday’s Magazette does this all year around, not just during the holidays.

Yesterday’s Magazette gives everyone the rare opportunity to be honest and open and to say to the world: “This is what life was like for me back then. And these are the feelings I had at that time. So now you can better understand the person I am today.”

Instead of gifts, YM readers give a small part of themselves on each and every page of this unique magazine. Can any material gift be equal to this?

I know from my many years of reading our mail that YM supporters are a very loving and caring group of people. To sustain such loyalty for a publication over so many years is special indeed.

You can believe me when I say that within the pages of Yesterday’s Magazette dwells the true essence of what is good about this country and its people.
